How you choose to promote your Nexus is totally up to you and what best fits your channel.
That said, the following recommendations and tips on best practices have been made based on what has gone well for other creators.
Pre-Launch
In advance of launching your Nexus, let your community know something exciting is coming! Give as little or as much detail as you'd like, but hyping up your store and your excitement towards it is always a good thing.
Before making the formal announcement,t we recommend setting up:
Chat Bot Command: The exact command is up to you, but here are some examples: !Store, !Nexus, and !Games. Mentioning that purchases directly support your channel, updating the bot's message to cover current discounts, and putting it on a timer is recommended.
Panels: We suggest having your Nexus URL visible and including messaging that sales support you. Create your own or use the pre-made Nexus panels!
YouTube Video Description: Update your YouTube video descriptions to include a link to your Nexus. If the video covers a specific game in your store, we recommend linking directly to that page!
YouTube Banner Link: Include a link to your Nexus in your YouTube banner. Making your Nexus easy to find is important - this is another way to do that. Below you can see how One Proud Bavarian linked his Nexus in his YouTube banner.
Launching Your Nexus
Once you've set up your chatbot, video descriptions, and panel, you are ready to launch! We recommend announcing the launch of your Nexus in a video or during your stream. Show off your store on screen, explain why you're excited about it, and mention that every sale supports you.
Announcement Tweet/Instagram/Community Post: Just like you would with any other channel announcement, we suggest signal boosting to your other social channels.
Post Launch - Regular Reminders
Your community needs to be reminded that your Nexus exists. Reminders or updates about your Nexus can be done via Tweets, Discord announcements, mentions while streaming or a brief advertisement in a YouTube video.
These reminders don’t have to be obnoxious and can be as simple as including a reference to a sale or a new game available on your Nexus.
